I am not a big New Year’s Resolution person, but as I relax after the gym, a shower and a big meal, I’m thinking about a few things.

1. “84,000 Hours at Work: Lessons On the Road from People with Purpose and Passion,” will be available in 2009.

I actually met with two small publishers yesterday and today. And I am working away on the chapters. It is interesting, the completed manuscript has sat in my computer for a long, long time. For some of the chapters it has been two or three years.

But the dust is off the pages. I am in editing mode. And time has taught me some new things, so I am also in writing mode.

I must say it feels very exciting to be back in the groove of action. I hate waiting on things. And I’ve been waiting on my agent. No more. It is time to act.

2. I will help Idea Connection Systems create some amazing innovation products, concepts and solutions that benefit international corporations and the people who work for them.

I am not going to go into detail on all of the cool things that are going on at the Innovation House, but we are moving. It is nice to see us working both hard and smart.

3. “Making the Invisible Visible: The Human Dynamics for a Culture of Innovation,” will be available in 2009.

We have a manuscript. We’ve edited the first half. We are almost there. This will be a beneficial book and tool for organizations, especially in the state of flux the global economy is. Everyone knows the business world needs to innovate for top line growth, but not many people know how to do it. We do.
