Weddings are always fun. They are even better when you are in the wedding party. This weekend was the celebration of one of my friends from elementary school soccer and current travels. Sean was with me in Maine, Philly, Pittsburgh, and camping in Ithaca. Anne is his new bride who is as sweet as her chocolate chip cookies. The model-esque couple were radiant yesterday in appearance and excited energy. It’s great when you see pure and real smiles. When we see them in babies and children, we smile at them. As adults, we don’t get them that often, those overpowering, megawatt smiles that come from deep inside of us. I saw a lot of them yesterday. And it made me smile.

It was a party of friends and family. I’m not sure what it is about me and weddings, but my sensitive side combines with my party side to cause for long hours. I was up until 3 AM Friday night. Yesterday, the guy wedding festivities started at 10 AM, the wedding at 3:30 PM and pizza was had at 1 AM. Today was family and recovery day at my parents place on the lake. This was the first day you could actually sit on the beach in shorts and a tshirt and not be cold. Yes, it is mid-June. The lake effect makes the temps at least 10 degrees cooler than my place in the city. I managed a short nap on the beach and my sister and bil came over. She is almost ready to deliver my niece!

There isn’t a lot of learning from this writing other than the power of love is incredible. As a rolling stone, it is strange to have been a part of two weddings in three weeks. I am someone who is in tune with emotion and weddings always bring out a lot in me. Does that bring me closer to gathering moss? We will see...

Congrats to the two new couples!
